"LÜÜP is the personal project of greek flautist Stelios ROMALIADIS. Released on the Musea label, his first album "Distress Signal Code" (2008) has many contributions from many acclaimed artists such as Progressive rock legend saxophonist David JACKSON (VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR), Akis BOYATZIS (SIGMATROPIC), Lisa ISAKSSON (LISA O PIU), MAGNITOPHONO, Nikos FOKAS (YELLOW ELEPHANT ENSEMBLE and COMMON SENSE). That opus is influenced by ambient soundscapes, Robert FRIPP's Frippertronics, Progressive rock, folk, classical and electronica. It even includes some bits of the mighty Mellotron ! David JACKSON even flew to Greece, in order to bring his contribution. Stelios ROMALIADIS uses the flute as the basis of the songs of the album using loops."
